Fifty, the Pit Bull, had a fortunate start in life as he was born into a family of rescuers. His mother was rescued by a compassionate family while she was still pregnant. Eventually, this family decided to adopt Fifty, and he became a beloved member of their household.
The lovable pooch was soaking up the good life with his human companions and furry sibling, Izzy, until the unexpected occurred.
Upon encountering Fifty, a patrolling officer grew fearful and fired at the dog’s right legs, causing injury. This unfortunate incident highlights the persistent issue of unjust discrimination against Pit Bulls, despite the fact that Fifty was a friendly and gentle animal.
Unfortunately, this heartbreaking event had a profound impact on his existence. The unfortunate pup underwent a life-altering experience as he had to have both of his right limbs removed due to being shot.
Fifty was still trying to find his footing with just two legs when his world was flipped upside down again.
On this occasion, the individuals who owned Fifty and Izzy were compelled to give them up to the shelter. They were forced to do so after losing their residence as a result of the economic downturn. It was a difficult time for Fifty since he had lost the sole anchor in his existence.
It was during a difficult and uncertain time that Fifty found his passion. He refused to let his situation define him and instead chose to focus on getting back on track.
At first, he relied on walls for support when standing and stumbled frequently. However, due to his determination and persistence, he eventually regained his ability to walk and run with ease!
After undergoing a long and rewarding journey of rehabilitation at the shelter, Fifty was finally able to find his loving forever home. It took nearly 9 months of hard work and dedication to help him rebuild himself, but it was all worth it in the end.
As soon as he met his new family and furry siblings, he felt a strong affection towards them and made a promise to himself to always behave well around them.
He comfortably adjusted to his fresh routine that consisted of thrilling expeditions and cozy cuddle moments.
Fifty’s adoptive parents often take in dogs who require foster care, and he has eagerly taken on the role of being a supportive foster sibling to other animals who may also be struggling.
