Whilst on his houseboat, Rudy Armstrong encountered a dire situation as he discovered his arm had gone numb due to it falling asleep. With no means of reaching out for assistance, he turned to his faithful companion, Bubu, who promptly picked up on the distress signal. Armstrong locked eyes with Bubu and urgently exclaimed, “I require aid.” Instantaneously, Bubu, a mixed Chihuahua breed, leapt into action.
Bubu wasted no time and quickly disembarked from the boat to search for Kim, the person in charge of the marina’s dock. Unusually, Bubu didn’t exhibit her usual liveliness and instead approached Kim with a serious demeanor, lying down to indicate that something was wrong. Kim, sensing that there was a message being communicated, followed Bubu back to the boat.
As soon as Kim reached the boat, she found out that Armstrong had a stroke. With quick presence of mind, Bubu contacted 911 for immediate help. Thanks to Bubu’s swift action, Armstrong received timely medical assistance and was taken to the hospital by paramedics. Kim chose to stay with Bubu during this period.
Bubu’s quick response was essential in ensuring her father’s speedy recuperation. Despite missing her dearly during his hospitalization and rehabilitation, Armstrong was finally able to reunite with his beloved little companion.
Armstrong’s place in the facility became a hub where he would recount his life stories, share his Navy experiences, and cherish his fond memories with Bubu. As he had no nearby friends or family, attempts were made to arrange a meeting between Armstrong and Bubu to renew their special bond.
Armstrong was filled with anticipation on the day of the reunion, and as he entered the facility’s garden, his excitement was palpable. Bubu arrived shortly after with Kim, looking unsure at first, but quickly recognizing her father. When Armstrong removed his mask, Bubu immediately jumped into his lap, showering him with affection, and the room was filled with heartwarming tears of joy from everyone present. Following his release from the hospital, Armstrong is now back on his boat, cherishing every moment with his beloved Bubu, sharing cuddles and kisses as they navigate each day together.
