A peaceful morning at Josh’s parents’ farm took a sudden turn when Alyssa Weber and Josh Stott heard an unusual bird-like sound with a high-pitched tone. Although it seemed strange at first, Alyssa recognized it as a kitten’s call for help since she had worked at Big Cat Rescue in the past. Little did they know that this would be their biggest rescue mission to date.
She was disturbed by the noise and went on a mission to locate its source. Eventually, she pinpointed the sound to her neighbor’s property and decided to investigate further. It turned out that the source of the noise was one of the sheds on the property. Unfortunately, she didn’t know her neighbor well enough to reach out for help and feared that attempting a rescue could be considered trespassing on private property.
Alyssa and Josh, who have a soft spot for animals, were approached by Emma, Josh’s sister, who told them that she heard a strange noise coming from their shed the night before. Emma’s implication was that the sound had been going on for nearly 15 hours, which left the compassionate couple concerned for the creature’s welfare. So, they decided to seek help from their neighbor and requested permission to take a look inside the shed. The neighbor agreed to have a look, but upon his return, he came up with nothing.
Alyssa felt discontented, therefore she sought the help of a companion and together they trespassed. Their intention was to rescue a distressed feline. The friend volunteered to investigate a shed and upon returning, he revealed a small cat nestled in his palms.
Upon hearing the distinctive sound she emitted, the rescuers opted to dub the kitten as Birdie. Currently, she is under the care of benevolent individuals who shower her with ample affection and care.
