As I was walking down the road, I came across a ginger feline who was hopping around like a little joey. Upon taking him to the animal shelter, the caretakers quickly realized that he was without his two front limbs.
Meet Joey Roo, a charming ginger cat who found his way to the Humane Society in Tucson, Arizona, hoping to find a forever home. Unfortunately, Joey was born with radial dysplasia, a congenital deformity that caused him to be born without his front legs. Despite this setback, Joey remains an affectionate and playful feline, with one claw that formed on the end of one of his nubs. Cortney, a kind-hearted animal lover, learned about Joey’s story through the shelter and decided to meet him. It wasn’t long before Joey Roo hopped his way into her heart, and she knew that she had found her new furry friend.
On the second night after arriving home, Joey, the cat with no front feet, displayed his impressive jumping skills by landing himself in the trash can. However, despite his physical deformity, Joey is an active and loving feline. He enjoys socializing with humans and other pets alike, and is always ready for some affectionate attention. According to Cortney, his owner, Joey is a friendly companion who never leaves her side, often perching himself on her lap to keep her company.
Cortney shared that her pet cat is not hindered by his deformity. Despite having a physical abnormality, he still manages to climb and descend a 6-foot cat tree with ease.
Joey is a big fan of chilling out on his favorite chair while keeping an eye on everything happening in the house. This orange tabby has no trouble hopping on and off his chair, just like any other feline. Despite only having two legs, Joey is quite adept and flexible.
Joey has been in his forever home for half a decade now. During this time, he has made numerous four-legged companions and has even participated in the fostering of other rescue animals. Despite his past, Joey’s cheerful personality shines through and he has plenty of affection to offer.
