Even though Herbee is a tiny hedgehog and Audree is a feline, they have developed a close bond and are now inseparable. Talitha captures their adorable escapades in stunning photographs set against picturesque backdrops.

Talitha shared that she had a heartwarming story about adopting two pets, Herbee and Audree. She got Herbee from a girl who was allergic to him and couldn’t keep him anymore. A few months later, she adopted Audree who was initially reserved for breeding by someone else. Talitha was lucky enough to call just two days after the reservation was canceled.

For a long time, owning a cat has been a cherished aspiration of mine. However, finding a feline companion that is compatible with other pets seemed like a crucial factor. Additionally, I was determined to have a unique cat that would accompany me on my travels and participate in my escapades. Thus, my options were limited to a specific type of breed, the Bengal cat. Interestingly, one night, I had a dream where I was blessed with a Bengal cat, and we immediately became inseparable best buddies who shared incredible experiences.

Upon waking up from a dream, I initially felt sadness. However, I soon realized that my dream could potentially turn into reality. With this realization, I decided to search for a cat online. That’s when I came across Audree. As soon as I laid my eyes on her, I knew she was the one. Upon contacting the lady who owned Audree, I heard her story and felt like fate had brought us together. Audree grew up with three brothers, just as I had two brothers growing up. Her brothers would play wildly while she stood back shyly and watched, which reminded me of myself as a child.

Before making my final decision, I took my hedgehog Herbee to meet Audree. They hit it off right away and became fast friends. In fact, they are now inseparable and go everywhere together. Audree is almost a year old now, and she and Herbee often snuggle and play together. When they first met, Herbee was curious but unafraid, and Audree was cautious.

At night, Audree and Herbee share a meal together, sometimes even from the same bowl. Surprisingly, Audree seems to prefer Herbee’s food over her own, despite them both eating the same thing (except for the insects Herbee snacks on). Audree is even allowed to hang out in Herbee’s cage and occasionally sleeps there or watches him. However, there was a moment when Herbee bit Audree, but luckily, she was unharmed and simply meowed before leaving. It was a one-time incident and hasn’t happened again.

Talitha shared that due to the quarantine, taking photos outside has become more challenging. While they can still go for walks and capture some spring shots, their current location on a family farm in the middle of nowhere means limited opportunities for capturing beautiful blooms. However, Talitha sees a positive side to this situation, as it only makes her appreciate future adventures with Audree and Herbee even more.

The owner of Herbee and Audree shared that during the quarantine, they have become more connected to their origins, had more quality time with family, and learned to cherish simple joys such as a ladybug resting on Audree’s head or Herbee smelling a tiny flower.

Nowadays, the focus is not on traveling to distant places, but on finding happiness in our current location. This is a valuable lesson that we should cherish! I am delighted to spread positivity by sharing this idea with others. Our community has expressed appreciation for our photos, especially now that they find joy in the little things. In 2015, Talitha began sharing photos of animals on her social media accounts. The first one to captivate her followers was Pokee, her eight-week-old hedgehog. Since then, all of her social media handles have been named after Pokee, the original hedgehoggo.

Regrettably, Pokee made his way to hedgehog heaven in 2019. However, Herbee has taken on the responsibility of making us smile just as Pokee did. Talitha, the owner, even got a tattoo on her wrist in memory of Pokee. Although Herbee is not related to Pokee, he appears to have the same passion for posing and modeling as his predecessor.
