Even when our beloved pooch was in pain, they never hesitated to comfort us by licking our faces. We noticed that our dog disliked it when we cried, prompting us to move into a van solely for the purpose of accommodating our furry friends.

We sped our car, Bertha, at full throttle for 300 miles to reach a vet in an emergency situation. It took us six hours to get there, by which time our furry friend had already been injured for the same amount of time. The veterinarian provided us with a discouraging diagnosis – a survival rate of less than 10%.

Despite the claims of those around her, she remained hopeful that Dagwood was still out there somewhere. She reassured herself that he had the resilience to make it through the arduous journey. In her heart, she felt that if any dog could survive such a trying ordeal, it would be him.
