According to an internet saying, “It’s only ugly until Rihanna says it’s not.” This was once again proven true when the iconic pop star debuted her latest campaign with red and black striped hair reminiscent of the early days of MySpace. Back then, scene kids with teased raccoon hair and tight skinny jeans dominated social media. While influencers today have a different look, Rihanna’s embrace of this early 2000s hair trend may signal a resurgence. However, it may not be enough to bring back the era of “rawr XD” captions. Rihanna changed her look for a special occasion- ahead of Valentine’s Day, Savage X Fenty and Fenty Beauty teamed up for a new range which includes a Gloss Bomb Heat in “Lavender Savage.” Check out the photos before the collaboration goes on sale on January 20th.
