Benjamin Cremaschi, an up-and-coming talent with both Argentine and American roots, faces a setback as he prepares for the upcoming season with Inter Miami. Sadly, an injury will force him to sit out the beginning of the campaign. However, there is a silver lining as he recently underwent a successful hernia surgery at Baptist Health. Although his absence will be felt, Cremaschi is expected to make a full recovery within two to three months.
This injury is a significant blow for Inter Miami, led by the renowned coach Gerardo Tata Martino. Cremaschi is highly regarded as a key teammate of the legendary Lionel Messi, forming a formidable partnership alongside other exceptional players like Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, and Luis Suarez. Their absence on the field will undoubtedly be felt, but the team remains hopeful that Cremaschi’s recovery will be swift, allowing him to join his teammates and contribute to their future success.
Even though Cremaschi hasn’t sustained a ligament injury, which typically takes over six months to heal, his absence will be sorely missed. It’s unfortunate that the 17-year-old midfielder won’t be able to join the upcoming game against Newell’s Old Boys on February 15th at DVR PNK Stadium, as it would have been an exciting reunion for Messi with his childhood club. Moreover, Cremaschi will also miss out on the opportunity to play against Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team, during Inter Miami’s Middle East tour.
In January 2024, Cremaschi has made quite a mark on Inter Miami, making his mark with his first goal in MLS and receiving accolades for his immense potential and impressive skills on the field. Having started his journey with the Inter Miami youth team, his performances have not gone unnoticed by the coaching staff, who believe that he has a promising future ahead in America’s premier soccer league.
