Last year, Peggy – a beloved English staffy – and her owner Juliette were on their daily walk when they stumbled upon a magpie that was left for dead. To Peggy’s surprise, she became very concerned about the little bird, prompting Juliette to take her in and nurse her back to health. After making a full recovery with the help of Peggy’s love and support, Molly – the magpie – refused to leave. Despite the couple’s encouragement, Molly stayed with the family and formed an adorable friendship with Peggy. The family began sharing pictures and videos of the two animals playing, sleeping, and even holding ‘hands’ on their Instagram page, which now has over 130,000 followers. Molly, another member of the team, quickly became Ruby’s daily playmate, and the two have been inseparable ever since. Ruby’s lively personality keeps Molly on her toes, and Peggy enjoys watching them play together. Juliette reports that Molly is healing well, with her feathers growing back, and Peggy is taking a break from playing as Ruby takes over. Despite their efforts to encourage Molly to return to nature, she remains attached to them and their home. The couple had previously shared how Molly had formed a special bond with Peggy and considered her as her mother.
