Lionel Messi is relishing his time in the vibrant city of Miami. Recently, there have been sightings of the renowned footballer embarking on a house-hunting expedition in Miami along with his wife and their eldest child. They were seen exploring a property, immersing themselves in the process of finding a new home that suits their preferences.
Lionel Messi, the legendary football player, was recently spotted on a house-hunting adventure with his wife and eldest child in Miami. This is not the first time the Argentinian star has been searching for a new home in the area, as he seems to be settling in well on America’s east coast.
During their visit to Boca Raton, a city just an hour north of Miami, Messi and his family were given a tour of a luxurious property. The house boasted amenities like a golf putting green, and someone even gave the talented athlete a quick demonstration with a golf club. This particular location is conveniently just 25 minutes away from Inter Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
If Messi decides to purchase this stunning home or any other property in Florida, it would be yet another addition to his growing collection of real estate in the state. In 2019, he bought an apartment worth £7.5 million ($9 million) that offers breathtaking views of Sunny Isle Beach and the city of Miami. The apartment is located in the renowned Porsche Design Tower, situated between Bal Harbour and Aventura and only 25 minutes away from the DRV PNK Stadium.
It seems that Messi is making himself quite at home in Miami, exploring different areas and considering various properties to add to his impressive portfolio.
The MLS club’s latest recruit, the talented Argentine star player, along with his loved ones, recently explored a property in Boca Raton. As the newly appointed captain of Inter Miami, he is expected to earn an impressive salary range of £38m-£47m per season. He has wasted no time in making an impact on the field, starting with a remarkable last-minute free kick goal during his debut match, which secured the team’s long-awaited victory after a winless streak of 11 games. Just four days later, he made his first start and showcased his skills by scoring two goals, contributing to yet another triumph for his new team. It’s evident that Messi is thoroughly enjoying his time in Miami and is fully embracing the experience, as he has reportedly begun taking English lessons, as shared by his teammate Robert Taylor.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Messi mentioned that he is currently taking Spanish lessons, while his teammate is learning English. Although their conversation level may not be at its best, they are able to communicate effectively on the field through their gameplay.
To Messi, football is a universal language that transcends linguistic barriers. He believes that when you have a strong connection with someone on the field, speaking the same language becomes less important. He mentioned that he has heard Messi speak a few words in English to him and other players, indicating that he has a fairly good command of the language.
Moreover, Messi is reunited with two former Barcelona teammates, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, with whom he enjoyed many successful years at the club.
The midfielder finalized his move to Inter Miami shortly after Messi’s arrival was announced, and the left-back recently completed his transfer as well, potentially making his debut against Orlando City in the Leagues Cup tonight. During his unveiling at DRV PNK Stadium, Alba expressed his excitement about playing with Messi once again and creating more memorable moments on the field.
“Even though I received offers with higher pay, my main priority was to feel valued. I believe I made the right choice,” said Alba. “This club put in the most effort to bring me here, and I am extremely happy to be reunited with Leo and Busi at Inter Miami.
Messi is currently in search of a new residence in Miami. Alongside two other players, he acknowledges the presence of a talented group that will contribute to their success in every game. Familiarity with coach Gerardo Martino and the competitiveness of the project influenced Messi’s decision to join the team. Despite his short time in Miami, it already feels like he belongs there.
