You may have come across our articles about Hanna Shaw, the self-proclaimed “Cat Lady” from America. Despite her unique tattooed appearance, she has a big heart and can even speak a little Russian (as seen in her signature “oh-oh-oh” at 1:05 in the video below). On a recent business trip from Connecticut to Washington, while driving down a rural road, Hanna spotted a large green sign outside a house that read “Free Kittens”.

The young woman abruptly hit the brakes and parked her car. Her compassionate heart couldn’t bear to ignore the kittens without learning their history and how they came to be there.
As she made her way towards the house, she pondered if the felines were mistreated and where they originated from. Despite navigating through the rugged terrain, Hanna was determined to uncover the truth.
Upon meeting the homeowner, the Cat Lady discovered that two cats resided on the property, but their owners were unable to afford to sterilize them. As a result, the household was routinely supplemented by new litters of kittens. The benevolent woman took it upon herself to find loving homes for these furry creatures, free of charge.

According to Hanna, the kittens’ owner seemed trustworthy and genuinely cared for their well-being. Therefore, she decided to extend her help by taking all three of them to her apartment. The Orphan Kitten Club, a volunteer group that Hanna is part of, will sponsor the sterilization procedure for the adult cats. The owner was grateful for the offer, and Hanna felt happy to have made a difference in the animals’ lives.

According to Hanna, it’s quite common to hear similar stories in rural areas. Often, the animal owners living in villages are unable to bear the expenses of taking their pets to a veterinarian or they don’t realize how crucial sterilization is. In such cases, all these people require is some assistance!

The volunteer expressed their joy in witnessing the Free Kittens being safely disposed of. They also mentioned that these cute little ones will be spayed or neutered in the future, which will prevent any potential suffering for their offspring in urban and rural areas where they may not receive adequate care and attention.

Regarding the little ones, they are absolutely charming! These little gray striped tabby kittens have large and emotive eyes, delightful personalities, and seven weeks of experience on this earth. The male kitten has been given the name Pee Wee, while the female kittens have been named Marge and Dottie.

Observe how adorable little Dottie, identified by a white spot on her head, is gently licking her brother’s face. Hannah inquires under the video whether Pee Wee had indulged in something scrumptious or if Dot simply believes that her sibling is meant to be smooched.

It is worth mentioning that these kittens did not remain with the girl for an extended period, despite her reliable and nurturing care. They were quickly placed with their permanent owners! Pee Wee and Dot were fortunate enough to be relocated together, residing under the same roof. Meanwhile, Marge discovered her forever home with another family, where she was greeted warmly by her half-sister, another rescued feline.
