When a young lady came across a small, abandoned kitten on the side of the road, she didn’t hesitate to take action and rescue the helpless furball.
Not long ago, Jieyan Ow from Malaysia came across a tiny kitten while heading out for lunch. The kitten was in a rough state, barely able to move with an injured leg and no sign of her mother nearby. Seeing that the little one needed urgent care to survive, Jieyan didn’t hesitate to take action. She scooped up the 3-week-old kitten, weighing just 260 grams, and hurried to seek help. The poor thing’s leg joint was dislocated, but with Jieyan’s quick intervention, there was hope for a better future.
When the kitten was just a tiny baby, they were optimistic that her leg would heal naturally as she recuperated at home. Jieyan, inexperienced with taking care of kittens, quickly learned how to nurture orphaned little cats and started feeding the calico kitten day and night. “I didn’t have much knowledge about kittens, so I had to learn quickly. Watching videos from Kitten Lady on YouTube really saved the day.”
The initial couple of days were challenging as the little kitten was extremely frightened and wouldn’t touch her food. Jieyan made sure to stick around and provide comfort, so the kitten didn’t have to face everything on her own.
Gradually, the kitten started to feel more at ease with her human companion, welcomed the pets, and started to show signs of improvement.
Before they knew it, she was devouring the food eagerly and even let out a contented purr – a first for her. They decided to call her Baby Tiger and witnessed as she shed her fears, forming a strong bond with her savior in no time.
One week later, they noticed a sizable bump near Baby Tiger’s leg, most likely caused by her injury. “Thankfully, we were able to get her to the veterinarian just in the nick of time,” Jieyan remarked.
Thanks to the vet’s treatment and prescribed medication, Baby Tiger’s condition started to improve. Within the following week and a half, she started to put more weight on her injured leg. Once she fully recovered her strength and ability to move, she was unstoppable in her playfulness.

Jieyan shared with We Love Cats how Baby Tiger’s playful and inquisitive nature quickly captured the hearts of those around her.
With her large, expressive eyes and constant purring, Baby Tiger craves attention and cuddles to drift off to sleep each night.
Tiger is now seven weeks young and thriving. She has transformed into a joyful, vibrant, and lively little cat. Her leg has fully recovered, enabling her to frolic and play just like any other playful kitten.
“We are delighted to see her zooming around the house with such energy. We adore her wholeheartedly and are so proud of her progress.”
Jieyan was pleasantly surprised when she rescued a stray kitten from the street and instantly fell in love with the tiny creature.
Since then, Baby Tiger has become a devoted companion, constantly by Jieyan’s side and accompanying her wherever she goes.
