It’s a well-known fact that cats can be quite territorial and not always fond of other cats, but this particular feline is quite unique. From the moment he met his new little brother, he took a liking to him and even though his owner only intended to foster the kitten, the cat insisted on keeping him around permanently. This heartwarming story was shared by a user on Reddit under the username todontblink.
The owner of the ginger tabby recently shared an amusing and heartwarming tale on Reddit. According to him, he stumbled upon a tuxedo kitty while driving down a busy road three years ago. Fearing for the little stray’s safety, the compassionate man took the cat in and brought him home.
After scanning the kitten for a microchip and posting his photo on social media in an attempt to locate his owner, the man was disappointed to discover that no one came forward to claim him. It appeared that the cat had either been born on the streets or abandoned by his previous owner.
The guy agreed to take care of the kitten for a while. At that time, he already had two dogs and a cat in his home. Therefore, he didn’t plan to adopt the kitten permanently, but only wanted to foster him until he found a new home. Initially, the kitten was scared of the new surroundings, but with time, he adjusted to the new habitat and made new friends. He made an effort to befriend every family member, including the two large dogs. The orange cat that cared for him was his favorite of all.
The duo of feline friends enjoyed snuggling with each other constantly (with the orange tabby taking the lead as the larger spoon), and the hefty fellow even took over the pooch’s bed solely for his little buddy to have a cozy and peaceful sleep. It’s just so heartwarming, don’t you think?
In the end, the man had to adopt the bicolor kitten as his own because his cat had grown so attached to the little one. It’s clear that these two adorable felines will have a wonderful life together!
