We receive reports of animal abandonment on a daily basis from various parts of the globe. However, it is the cases where animals are left all by themselves with their belongings that leave us astounded. It seems like the owners want to alleviate their guilt and avoid the realization that their actions have led to a life of misery for their pets.
The little kitty was found in an area of London when she was a mere few days old. Her health condition was poor, and she was confined to a cage with minimal food to keep her from going hungry.
Luckily, this warrior managed to hold on until help arrived. She belonged to the team of volunteers at Blue Cross Victoria, an organization dedicated to rescuing and protecting animals. Despite her fragile appearance, she braved through it all with injuries that included burns on various parts of her body and the loss of her right eye.
According to the veterinarians, the helpless animal had heart problems after it was saved and analyzed. Eyela had a congenital heart defect and also suffered a head injury at birth.
Eyela’s well-being relied heavily on the careful attention of the rescuers during her first few weeks at the shelter. Thankfully, she seems to be much more stable now, and the search for a loving home for her has begun. Those caring for her are confident in her security and gentle nature, highlighting that all she needs is affection and care. “We’re hoping to find someone who can give her the time and attention she deserves,” explained Amanda Rumball, a Social Welfare Fellow at Blue Cross London.
While Eyela has made strides, it’s important for potential adopters to know that she has specific needs. Amanda shared, “As she gets older, her heart will need to undergo frequent checkups, so we are looking for someone who has the means and availability to take her to the vet regularly.”
