Maddie Fang has taken care of over 100 adorable kittens and shares her experiences on @fangfosters, along with some incredibly cute kitten photos. She dedicates a lot of time and effort to raising bottle-fed kittens, getting them ready for their forever homes. Despite the significant amount of work required to nurture these kittens, Maddie is able to handle it with a little help from a friend. Her dog, Leo, plays an important role in the process by protecting, cleaning, and loving the kittens.

Maddie gave us some insight into the charming pub and Leo, its co-caretaker. About nine years ago, Leo was a small puppy when he was rescued by Westside German Shepherd Rescue, and Maddie and her family adopted him. Leo had a natural affectionate disposition and remained composed in all circumstances. Maddie believed that Leo would be comfortable having foster kittens around due to his relaxed demeanor.

Upon the arrival of their first foster home, Maddie had hoped that Leo would treat the kitten nicely. But to her delight, Leo was actually thrilled and effortlessly took on the role of caretaker. He immediately fell in love with the kitten and this love multiplied as he began caring for over a hundred kittens. Leo has a natural ability to be a protective big brother, always looking out for his furry siblings. He also shows them affection by happily cleaning them and giving them loving licks.

Maddie started fostering animals from the Ventura County Animal Shelter three years ago. One of her first cases was a kitten that needed to gain weight before having neuter surgery. Animals living in shelters can often feel stressed, which can impact their overall health. However, when placed in a foster home, they have the chance to relax and become healthy, increasing their chances of finding a loving permanent family.

Maddie found fostering kittens to be incredibly satisfying, and her efforts have made a significant impact. The number of fostered kittens has continued to increase. She even took on the responsibility of caring for a pregnant cat, but despite providing a cozy nesting box, the cat opted to give birth under the bed. Watching the mother cat take care of her puppies was a touching and enlightening moment for Maddie.

The experience motivated her to take in more challenging foster animals. Recently, she took care of three newborn kittens with their umbilical cords still attached. These little ones require round-the-clock attention, including feedings every two hours. Although it can be tough, Maddie finds joy in watching them grow and appreciates their affectionate nature. Despite the tears that sometimes well up in her eyes, she loves caring for bottle-fed animals.
