Meet Erin Wilson, a delighted Belgian Malinois owner residing in Trinity County, California, with her 2.5-year-old pooch named Eva. While out for a leisurely stroll by the river, their serenity was abruptly interrupted by an unexpected danger. A mountain lion leaped at Erin and ripped through her jacket while howling. As there were no other humans nearby, Erin called upon her loyal companion, Eva, for help. Without hesitation, the brave dog rushed to her rescue.

Erin Eva displayed remarkable courage in facing off against a mountain lion. With fearless determination, she struck the beast with force, successfully distracting it from her presence. Unfortunately, the mountain lion overpowered Erin’s brave dog and attacked its head, causing significant agony.
Despite this setback, Erin did not give up. She swiftly defended herself against the mountain lion using rocks and sticks as weapons. In addition, she was able to get help from a driver passing by who used pepper spray to subdue the wild animal. Erin’s bravery and quick thinking saved her and her dog from a dangerous situation.

Despite facing incredible odds, the brave dog managed to make it through her hospital stay and is now on the road to recovery. To support the costs of Eva’s medical care, Erin has created a crowdfunding page. According to Erin, the medical staff handling Eva’s case are confident that she will recover fully.

However, we must remain cautious and keep Eva sedated until we can be sure that the pressure in her head has decreased. Although things are looking up, Eva is still not entirely out of danger. She sustained a punctured sinus cavity, two skull fractures, and a lot of swelling around her left eye that has impacted her eyesight.

Eva, despite her terrible injuries, was able to rescue her owner and save her life. Captain Patrick Foy from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife believes that it’s a valid assumption that the dog played a vital role in saving the woman’s life.
