It was a joyous moment for the cat to find a cozy spot for her little ones. She was so content that she entrusted them with the resident dogs for a while.
Meet Angelica and her adorable kittens at Ilcken Zoo! When they were brought into a county shelter a couple of weeks ago, Angelica was a young cat mom struggling to take care of her three sickly kittens. The shelter environment was stressful for her and her babies, and they needed a lot of attention and love. Fortunately, AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue stepped in to help and found them a foster home where they could receive the care they needed. Allison Ilcken, a dedicated volunteer, welcomed the family of four into her warm and loving home. Now they have a comfortable space to grow and thrive under the watchful eye of their devoted carer.
The felines were not in good health when they were saved by ilckenzoo. According to Allison from Love Meow, one of the kitties, Angelica, was initially timid and preferred staying at the back of her carrier during their journey home. Despite this, she had a gentle and endearing personality. After some time, Angelica mustered up the courage to explore her surroundings and appeared content with her new environment. Eventually, she snuggled up with her siblings on a comfortable bed.
Angelica was overjoyed to find herself in a foster home where she felt safe and secure. She expressed her happiness by constantly purring and kneading with her paws. Her purrs were so loud that they could be heard from a distance. Whenever Allison, her foster parent, was around, Angelica turned on her powerful purr engine and kept it running nonstop.
However, the new environment wasn’t easy for all the kittens. Two of them, Philip (black and white) and Peggy (grey and white), suffered from severe upper respiratory infections, while Hamilton (tuxedo) had to be treated for worms. Mama Angelica was also not feeling well as she had a fever and mastitis.
The trio of animals under Angelica’s care received abundant love from their foster mother and gradually showed signs of improvement. Their playful nature came to the fore after a few days of great care. As they became more social, Allison introduced them to her dogs who were friendly with cats. Although Angelica was apprehensive at first, she soon warmed up to the giant 4-legged friends.
Philip and Peggy were spending time with Olive, the resident dog at ILCKenZoo. Over time, Angelica became more comfortable with the dogs as they showed gentleness and kindness to her little ones. In fact, they even allowed the kittens to crawl all over them and nurse on their bellies, which made Mama Angelica happy to have some helpers. Peggy, who was the most courageous and sociable of her littermates, was the first to approach the canine kitten-sitters, and eventually, her siblings followed suit.
According to Love Meow, Allison suggested giving Peggy and Hope@ilckenzoo some time with the dogs daily. It has resulted in them becoming quite fond of the dogs and even purring when they see them. Angelica, their mother, is very caring, but she is still young and playful at heart.
Ilckenzoo’s Olive is a diligent kitten-sitter, always keeping a watchful eye on the little ones. She gets some much-needed downtime when the dogs take over, relishing in the attention of her humans and being her charming self. The kittens have inherited their mother’s playful nature, often engaging in playful antics and running amok as if they own the place.
According to Allison, Philip and Olive’s pet Angelica has discovered her voice, and it is gentle and charming. Angelica adores being around people and frequently visits the couple’s bedroom for cuddles and added affection. Allison stated that Angelica loves lying on the ground and receiving scratches, compliments, and treats.
Playing is one of Angelica’s favorite activities. She, along with her two feline friends, have come a long way from their days as sickly kittens. They are now full of energy, enjoy exploring new things, and love to play together.
Peggy, Hamilton, and Philip from @ilckenzoo are all set for the next phase of their lives. Luckily, two of the kittens have been adopted by a loving family who will pamper them for eternity.
Angelica and Hamilton are now a happy family at the Ilcken Zoo as they were adopted together. Peggy, Hamilton’s sister, is also a part of their lovely family.
Peggy and Hamilton@ilckenzoo reported that Mama Angelica desires to find her and Philip’s forever home, where they will be treasured and adored for all time.
Philip and Angelica are enjoying their time together at the Ilckenzoo. Angelica, the cat, lives each day with great enthusiasm and plays around energetically like a lively kitten. The dogs in her company are always ready to offer a comforting paw whenever Angelica seeks a little affection.
