Carmen Weinberg, the founder of the Animal Friends Project, rushed to the scene upon learning about the cat’s situation. Surprisingly, the cat approached Carmen without her having to use any kind of trap. It was as if the cat was pleading for help in his own way. So, Carmen simply placed some food near the trap and the cat entered it without any resistance.

Although Simba had a permanently grumpy expression on his face, he was actually a friendly and affectionate feline. He adored receiving head scratches and never turned down an opportunity for a good belly rub.

Despite being rescued, the cat was still quite reluctant to be handled by his saviors. Carmen suspected that he might be a feral cat in need of extra attention and socialization. Once he had fully recuperated, they found him a wonderful foster mom named Alicia. It wasn’t long before Simba’s personality underwent a complete transformation, as he became extremely affectionate and loving in his new home.

The charming boy who captured the hearts of many on social media has finally found a permanent loving home. He is steadily making progress towards leading an amazing life.
