Kim Kardashian has been reminiscing about her father, Robert Kardashian Sr., as of late. The 43-year-old SKIMS founder took to Instagram on Saturday to share a throwback photo of her dad. In the picture, Robert can be seen wearing a stylish blue suit while holding a glass of red wine. Standing next to him are his daughters, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, who seem to be in their preteen or young teenage years. The girls are dressed in matching polka-dot dresses, adding a touch of charm to the photo. Kim kept the caption simple, using an infinity sign to express the everlasting love and memories she holds for her late father.

Kim’s mother, Kris Jenner, and Robert were married for thirteen years, from 1978 to 1991. In addition to Kim and Kourtney, the couple also have two other children, Khloé and Rob Kardashian. Sadly, Robert’s life was cut short when he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in July 2003 and passed away just under two months later on September 30, 2003. Besides being a successful businessman and lawyer, he gained recognition for his involvement in O.J. Simpson’s defense team during the highly publicized 1995 trial for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson.

In order to pay tribute to their beloved father, Robert’s children established the Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health in Los Angeles in 2019. This center serves as a way to honor his memory and provide support for those affected by esophageal health issues.

Kim Kardashian took to Twitter to proudly announce the launch of the Robert G. Kardashian center for esophageal health at UCLA. Expressing her desire for other families to have access to more information in the field, she emphasized the importance of health and prevention.

While law was not her initial career path, Kim successfully passed the “baby bar exam” in 2021. In the Oxygen documentary, “Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project,” she revealed her emotions in following her late father’s footsteps and pursuing a legal education.

Kim acknowledged the challenges and late-night studying sessions, reflecting on how her father managed to balance his responsibilities as a parent. She expressed her regret in not being able to discuss her journey with him, knowing he would have been incredibly proud.

Earlier this month, Kim couldn’t help but feel nostalgic about her father, which prompted her to share some delightful moments with him on social media. In the accompanying caption, she lovingly expressed her admiration, describing her dad as a “total heartthrob.”
