Whenever Goran Marinkovic takes a stroll around Kraljevo, Serbia, he never forgets to bring some food along with him. His kind act of feeding more than a hundred abandoned dogs and cats on a daily basis is his way of showing compassion and care for these helpless animals. However, his act of kindness was taken to another level when he discovered a small puppy in March of 2020 that he simply couldn’t resist taking care of.

Goran Marinkovic heard whimpering while walking along a small trail and was surprised to see a young puppy hiding among the rocks. The poor animal was shivering, hungry, and thirsty, so Marinkovic fed her some salami he had with him. The puppy had been living next to a pile of garbage and was using an old boot as shelter. Although she was too young to be without her mother, Marinkovic couldn’t locate any other dogs in the vicinity.

When Goran Marinkovic came across the puppy, she quickly laid down and exposed her belly. According to Marinkovic, the puppy was worn out and realized that he might be her last hope, so she gave up and left fate in his hands.

Goran Marinkovic rescued a small dog from the streets and took her to a veterinarian. He had doubts about her survival as she was sleeping under the open sky for quite some time. However, the dog, whom he named Coco, refused to give up. Coco’s kind demeanor became more apparent as she regained her strength. According to Marinkovic, she is a people-loving and cheerful pup.

Goran Marinkovic became overwhelmed with messages from people offering to adopt Coco after he shared her pictures on Facebook. However, he wanted to ensure that she was given the best home possible. With the help of a friend who works in animal rescues and has connections with international adoptions, Coco received all necessary vaccinations before being sent to her new forever home in Germany.

After a year, Coco has transformed completely from the frail and ill-looking puppy that Goran Marinkovic stumbled upon cowering behind footwear. The little pup has blossomed into a cheerful and fluffy dog, always eager to set out on exciting escapades with her loving family.

Marinkovic mentioned that Coco, who owns a lovely house, is currently enjoying her vacation. He added that he receives regular updates with photos of Coco, who is currently on a sea voyage. Marinkovic expressed his satisfaction by saying that every canine rescued from the streets and provided with a loving home is a triumph for him.

Goran Marinkovic hopes that all stray dogs in Serbia will have the same fortunate fate as Coco. Nevertheless, with individuals like Marinkovic aiding them, these canines are moving closer to obtaining the quality of life they rightfully deserve.
