Gal Gadot Reflects on Wonder Woman’s Future as She Celebrates 37th Birthday

It’s hard to imagine Wonder Woman without the stunning and multi-talented Gal Gadot, who has brought a captivating complexity and irresistible charm to the beloved DC superhero. Since her debut as Diana Prince in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gadot has starred in two highly successful solo films – Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984 – and is now gearing up for a third. On her 37th birthday, we celebrate this Israeli actress and look forward to her upcoming roles and adventures.

It is safe to say that Gal Gadot has an impressive lineup of films in the near future. Apart from her appearances in upcoming DC movies, including the third installment of Wonder Woman, the Israeli actress will also star in two major Netflix thrillers, a highly anticipated adaptation of one of Agatha Christie’s most popular novels, and a controversial biographical drama, among others. Despite her bright future in Hollywood, fans have expressed their disappointment upon learning that she will be directing a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film, To Catch A Thief (1955). The original film, which starred Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, is considered a beloved masterpiece by many. However, Gal Gadot and screenwriter Eileen Jones will bring a fresh take on the Hitchcock classic, and fans are eager to see what they have in store.

Actress Gal Gadot is set to star in and produce a World War II drama called Irena Sendler through her production company, Pilot Wave, for Warner Bros. The movie is based on the true story of Irene Sendler, a Polish woman who saved tens of thousands of Jewish children during the Holocaust by smuggling them out of the Warsaw Ghetto and providing them with false identification to avoid persecution by the Nazis. Even though Sendler was apprehended and tortured by the Gestapo, she never revealed the identities of any of the 2,500 children she helped save. Screenwriter Justine Juel Gillmer, known for the Holocaust film Harry Haft, will pen the script for the historical thriller. No director has been attached to the project, and no release date has been announced since it was initially announced in 2019.

It’s no secret that Gal Gadot is one of Hollywood’s most stunning actresses, and now she’s set to play the iconic Hedy Lamarr in an upcoming limited series on Apple TV+. The series, which will cover 30 years of Lamarr’s life and career, will showcase her journey from escaping pre-war Vienna to becoming a prominent figure in Hollywood’s Golden Age, and her eventual downfall during the early days of the Cold War. It’s a promising role for Gadot, who has already proven herself as an action star with her portrayal of Wonder Woman. Fans of both Gadot and Lamarr can look forward to this exciting new project.

After the success of Wonder Woman 1984, Warner Bros. wasted no time in approving a third movie in the DC franchise. The announcement for Wonder Woman 3 was made in December 2020, with both Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins reprising their roles as Diana Prince and director, respectively. Even though there’s already a story in place by Geoff Johns and all parties are on board, it’s uncertain when we’ll get to see the Amazonian warrior princess again due to Jenkins’ involvement in other Gadot projects, including the upcoming Star Wars film Rogue Squadron. As a result, fans will have to be patient in waiting for answers to any lingering questions from the 2020 sequel.
