Four individuals generously offered their time to perform a rather intricate rescue operation during nighttime. They were notified about a cat and her four little ones struggling beneath a building. However, reuniting the mother with her babies proved to be quite a challenging task.
According to a report by MBNews, a group of concerned citizens in Monza, near Milan, recently rescued a mother cat and her four kittens from being trapped under a residence. The incident took place on Thursday, October 13th when some residents of a building on Valsugana street noticed the feline family stuck in a hole under a ground floor balcony. They immediately called for help and were able to successfully rescue the cats. The kittens were only four weeks old at the time of their rescue.
Lara, who works as an agent for the ENPA, which stands for the National Organization for the Protection of Animals, came to the rescue when some kittens were found in a precarious situation. She was accompanied by three volunteers, Milena, Daria, and Elena. The kittens, who were approximately three weeks old, were rescued and taken to a safe shelter. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to locate the mother of the kittens until the following day, when they finally managed to find her. To entice her into a trap, they set up a cage with some food and left the scene after midnight. It was a heartwarming moment for all involved, and the kittens were able to receive the care they needed thanks to the kindness and dedication of this group of animal lovers.
The following day, the group of volunteers returned and discovered that the feline was doing well inside the enclosure. They promptly brought her to the shelter, where her little ones were eagerly anticipating her arrival. The entire family was finally reunited.
Polentina was the name of the mother cat who had 4 young kittens – 2 males and 2 females. The adorable little ones were given unique names such as Ragù, Pesto, Norma, and Gricia. Once the kittens reach a certain age, they will be available for adoption, just like their loving mother.
